Tiny Teeth Need Tender Care, Bright Smiles Begin Right There

Oral Care

Infant oral health lays the foundation for a lifetime of wellness. At The Brite Bite Clinic, we emphasize the importance of establishing good oral hygiene habits from birth. The oral cavity begins developing in utero, and by the time an infant is born, microbial colonization has already begun—making early care critical.

Oral Hygiene Routine For Infants

We recommend gently cleaning your baby’s gums with a clean, damp cloth after every feed to reduce bacterial buildup. Once the first tooth erupts—typically around 6 months—use a soft, age-appropriate toothbrush with a smear of fluoride free toothpaste to brush twice daily.

First Dental Visit

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends a first dental visit by age one or within six months of the first tooth’s eruption.

Early check-ups help monitor teething, feeding habits, oral development, and non-nutritive behaviors like thumb-sucking. They also allow us to offer timely preventive guidance and reassurance for new parents.
